About a week ago, a friend showed me one of his Arduino projects. This made me focus again on some projects I neglected for a while. One of them was to build a MIDI wind controller similar to the AKAI EWI and Yamaha WX series. I played the saxophone but was always a bit jealous of people playing electrical instruments, just because of the possibilities to tweak your sound by turning some knobs, pressing buttons,..
Recently I bought me an old AKAI S3000XL sampler for about €70 so I'll be using this to test the progress of this project.

Information on how to send MIDI commands using an Arduino was easy to find so I bought some Arduino Mini Pro's as they are small enough to fit in the controller body. I guess the total costs for this project will not exceed €100.
